A couple of you have mentioned that I do most of my giveaways on twitter and ignore TBGB’s facebook fans, well that’s changing today!

Today I’m happy to introduce an awesome dress designer from the UK, www.fatphrocks.com. Every spring I begin my search for maxi dresses that are long enough for me (I’m 5’10). This year I got a head start on that search and ended up with a stunning maxi from FatPhrocks.

My FatPhrocks maxi is beautiful, quality fabric, rich colors and best of all the dress is actually long on me, which is a big accomplishment and it has adjustable straps so I can get it to perfectly flatter the twins while maintaining the length that makes me feel super chic!

Best of all, these dresses are affordable! Sometimes I feel like being a tall plus size princess mean spending more money on clothes than the average PSP, but this brand is right in line with some of the everyday brands that I shop. Also, even though they’re in the UK I spoke with the owner this weekend and she said shipping these days is only a few dollars… hooray!

Valentines Day is just around the corner and I think I’ve found my dress! I always wear a bra to bed, but I hate sleeping with underwire. I often take old bras and rip the wires out so that I can maintain a little support while staying comfortable I call them my “sleeping bras”. As of today, I officially have a new “sleeping bra”, the Crossover Racerback Leisure Bra from LeadingLady.Com.

This bra closes in the front, is wire free and provides comfortable support for “the twins”. I’ve been sleeping in it for a while now and I am so happy to have discovered it. I even doubled it under a sports bra I have and was pleased with the added support.

Leading Lady makes a variety of bras for Plus Size Princesses (even those with small breasts!) They have sizes 50A as well as sizes 52H and EVERYTHING in between. I tried a variety of their bras and I love them all. I have one bra to giveaway to a TBGB reader. Giveaway details are below…

I’m a California girl, so New York City winters are definitely not my favorite thing. This year I have at least one reason to look forward to the frosty weather that is sure to come, my new coat from Just As You Are.

I first heard about Just As You Are from Plus Model Magazine, but because of their special sizing process I had to check them out for myself.

I logged onto www.asuare.com, to see how they make coats based on SHAPE not Size. The first thing I noticed is that they use actual plus size princesses on their site, very cool! According to their site they “take a personalized set of measurements that you and only you provide and input them to our unique Just As You Are “fit matching system”. This system uniquely pairs key body measurements directly with each coat or jacket measurement – to give you the ideal fit you’ve always deserved.”

I pulled out my measuring tape and got to work, based on my measurements they suggested a few coats including the three below:

As a Plus Size Princess, shopping online is something I’m used to. Over the years I’ve developed an eye for what will look good on me and my instincts are 99% correct.

The one thing I’m terrified to purchase online is denim. Shopping for jeans is a very involved process for me… high rise? low rise? if the jeans fit my hips and thighs, will they fit my waist? can I squat down in them? and most importantly… how does my butt look?

In my opinion all of that needs to be done in the store.

So when Eloquii asked if I was interested in trying a pair of their jeans, I was hesitant about the online thing but I agreed. Their site is set up so that you can shop by body shape. I followed their questions and determined that I’m “Infinity” shaped (which sounds better than apple, pear etc.). I looked at the jeans that were suggested for Infinity girls and ended up ordering the classic fit boot cut jeans. They arrived yesterday and I’m impressed. They fit well and look like they cost way more than $75. Below is my infinity cut in boot and skinny… more good news below!

Today is the best kind of autumn day in New York City, the air is crisp but its 70 degrees, its a great day to wear my newest dress from Shop Translated!

Shop Translated is releasing their fall/winter line and I found a few pieces that I really liked.

I’m 5’10 and this dress hit mid thigh on me, so I didn’t use the belt that it came with (that would make the dress dangerously short). Instead I took a cue from the earth tones in the dress and accessorized with browns and wood. In the summer I would wear this with bare legs but today nude stockings will do the trick.

I love my boobs!

For me one of the advantages of being a Plus Size Princess are “the twins”. Because I love them so so much, I’m very picky about the bras I wear. I have my go-to brands/styles and I stick with them. So when All You Magazine & Playtex offered to send me some of their 18-hour bras to test out, I was prepared to wear them once and then shove them in the back of my closet.

Surprisingly, I haven’t done that!

While I prefer a more sexy demi-cup bra most of the time, these Playtex bras have made their way into my weekly gym routine. The support they give without under-wire makes them perfect for my workouts! I think we’ve all done the bra + sports bra combination at the gym, and its annoying (not to mention it creates more laundry).

Not only did the Playtex bras provide ample support for my DDD’s, they have “moisture management cups” which helps with *ahem* Boob Sweat.

I’ve worn my Playtex bra to the gym on Saturday morning and then to run errands all day and the 18 hour promise is legit. I was completely comfortable, never adjusted the straps once all while feeling completely supported. It gives a nice silhouette under a t-shirt/tank top too.
