I know I talk a lot about my office job, but I left California and moved to New York City to pursue a career on stage (singing, acting, etc.). Although my office job pays the bills right now, being creative is what I’m passionate about.

Last weekend, I was asked to be a part of a two night performance with an up and coming orchestra in the city. It was fun to be on stage, doing what I love and because it was a concert I was able to choose what I wore.

I thought it was a great opportunity to debut a dress that LucieLu sent me (sidenote: LucieLu carries up to size 5x!).

I had originally thought about getting this dress with a cobalt blue underlay, but this nude look worked really well with the gold accessories and accents that I wanted to incorporate for the performance. I’m not sure if you can tell from the imgage, but this dress has adorable little polka-dots all over the sheer overlay making it fun, flirty and chic all at once.

Overall, the concert was successful and I got lots of compliments on how I looked. You can see how I pulled it together below:
